This program, based in the high Himalayan Range in Uttarakhand, is focused on the ecology of the mountains - their water, soil and forest systems - and the ecology of the people - their history, beliefs and livelihoods. Participants will hike through the glacial borderlands of India and Nepal to learn about the ecology of the Himalayas. Summer program, 4 weeks (May-June). Open to all students, 2.5 GPA required, must be physically fit. Essay and interview required.
