Students participating in this program will obtain intensive training in Chinese language with maximum exposure to the Chinese language environment and increase cultural awareness of Chinese society and its people through a Chinese buddy program, culture workshops, organized events and field trips. Hosted at the Overseas Student Center of the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in Harbin, China. Summer program, odd-numbered years only, minimum of 8 weeks, maximum of 11 weeks. Open to all students, 2.5 overall GPA, minimum of one year of Chinese, 3.0 GPA in Chinese coursework, essay required.
