This program explores minority identities in Southwest China's Yunnan Province, home to nearly half of China's 55 minority groups. *Academic Offerings: Mandarin language instruction, courses in life and culture in Yunnan, field study techniques. *Eligibility: no previous Chinese language study required. *Program Features: one-month independent study project. *Housing: Hostels, dorms, small hotels; three short-term home stays.
