Course Reader Fall 2008 The Southern Border
University of California-Berkeley
Center staff helped in the coordination of the course reader for the Southern Border course. This semester long course traces the origins of the changes that have defined todays border between the United States and Mexico. After this historical overview, the course looks critically at debates on immigration reform, education, trade, and politics as well as new cultural and political identities in the border regions.
