During academic year 2007-08, the U-M Center for Chinese Studies organized and facilitated a first-ever campus-wide U-M College of Literature, Sciences and the Arts (LSA) Theme Year on China to both promote the events of this center and other research being conducted on campus relevant to the study of China. This included many collaborative presentations and increased involvement with not only other U-M programs and schools not within LSA but the general public as well. The CCS Noon Lecture Series during 2007-08 was part of the theme year activities.
