Workshop on "New and Emerging Migrations" - S. Ripp prepared a two-page handout based off of research she conducted on current patterns of migration in and out of Latin America as they relate to contemporary issues of border control, economic woes, etc., and she also presented these findings in a 30-40 minute presentation and Q and A session w/ the group.

Summer Teacher Institute: "Human Rights and Latin America" - This workshop examined the legacy of state terrorism in Latin America in the efforts of civil society and governments to come to terms with the recent violent past. This program was geared towards 7th through 12th grade teachers interested in incorporating these topics into their classrooms. Presenters from Wellesley College, UC-Davis and UW-Whitewater.
