Assistant Director, CES Dr. Sinan Ciddi, born in Turkey and educated in the United Kingdom, gained his Ph.D. in Political Science from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London in June 2007. He was an instructor at Sabanci University since 2004 and completed his Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the same institution between 2007-2008. Recently he succeeded in publishing his thesis as a book, published in January 2009. He has been working at the University of Florida, Gainesville since Fall 2008 and has helped establish Turkish Studies within the Center for European Studies. As CES Assistant Director, he is, among other things, coordinating the Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowships.
